One seriously dedicated flier has snagged two seats on the inaugural flight of ANA's 787 Dreamliner for a cool $31,500.
The unnamed traveler won the ticket for two seats on the October 26 Tokyo to Hong Kong flight in an eBay auction. The winning bid was for $32,700 Australian dollars, or about $31,500 U.S., reports Australian Business Traveler. The bidding began a week ago at $1,826 Australian ($1,761 U.S.)
The auction was organized by All Nippon Airways (ANA) and proceeds will go to Conservation International Japan.
Boeing's 787 Dreamliner is finally ready to make its debut three years later than anticipated. ANA's aircraft arrived at Tokyo's Haneda Airport last week after a touching handover from approximately 500 workers near Seattle.
