Colts backup quarterback Curtis Painter wasn't expected to show any flashes of brilliance against the Buccaneers on Monday Night Football. So it's safe to say Painter turned heads when he connected with wide receiver Pierre Garcon for an 87-yard touchdown catch.
Backed up on their own 13-yard line and clinging to a 3-0 lead in the second quarter, the Colts needed to at least win the field position battle. Instead, Garcon took off down the right sideline and Painter hit him on the run by the 30. Garcon delivered a stiff arm to Buccaneers safety Sean Jones and let his speed do the rest. He went the rest of the way untouched to put the Colts up 10-0.
The Bucs went on to top the Colts 24-17 with a late touchdown from running back LeGarrette Blount.
