Adrian Beltre Home Run: Cameraman Falls Down While Rangers Star Rounds Bases (VIDEO)

Cameraman Falls Down While Rangers Star Rounds Bases

TBS proved on Tuesday that it is very serious about its slogan "Very Funny."

During the Texas Rangers' victory over the Tampa Bays that was broadcast on the cable network, a cameraman took an awkward spill. Rather than ignore the blooper, TBS went ahead and replayed it after a commercial break.. in slow motion.

Very funny.

During the second inning of the Rangers' series-clinching win, third baseman Adrian Beltre homered to left field off Tampa Bay pitcher Jeremy Hellickson. The blast was the first of three on the day for Beltre, but his trot around the bases proved far more memorable than his swing.

Beltre pounded fists with the Rangers' third base coach as he touched third. Once he turned toward home, TBS camera operator Tim Burke began shadowing him down the line, holding his camera waist high and tilted up at the slugger. Paying more attention to framing his shot than his own footing, the cameraman lost his balance as he jogged backward and completely wiped out. Burke landed on his equipment and pieces scattered. Beltre looked over his shoulder and pointed at the cameraman just before he touched home.

Damian Entrican Not sure if it was on tv, but the camera man bit it chasing Beltre on his homerun trot. #postseason

The inning continued as fans at Tropicana Field weren't sure if Beltre had actually knocked the cameraman over accidentally. The producers of the broadcast made sure to clear up any confusion when they replayed the entire incident when the Rangers took the field for the bottom of the frame.

Belre would add another to longballs to power Rangers past the Rays, clinching a spot in the ALCS. ended up winning the game and closing out their series against the Rays. And all things considered we're not sure who today's events will haunt more: the Rays or the camera man.
