Kathleen Wood, a disabled army veteran, says airline staff wouldn’t let her board a shuttle with her walker and made her trek to the next terminal by foot, instead. MyFoxBoston.com reports.

When the Walpole, Mass., resident was on her way back from a recent vacation to Florida, she and her husband only had 30 minutes to catch a connecting flight at Reagan National Airport. However, Wood said she nearly missed her flight when a US Airways employee forced her to walk the distance to the terminal, because she couldn’t be let on with her walker.

"It made me feel angry, sad, hurt and really, kind of, more aware of my condition," Wood told the news network.

A US Airways spokesperson told the network they will personally call Wood to apologize.
