Changed the game by: Ushering mixed martial arts into the primetime sports world.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) seems on the brink of becoming a bona fide major league, thanks to Dana White. The UFC President inked a multi-year television pact with FOX that should bring mixed martial arts fully into the mainstream. It's perfect timing, since the NBA is in a lockout and the NHL is still struggling to find it's niche on cable. This year, UFC held its first event in Brazil, while its related reality show, The Ultimate Fighter, became the top rated program on cable. It's just the beginning. Last month, White said the UFC is planning to host simultaneous events both in Japan and in Las Vegas, to be held possibly in February.

UFC executive Reed Harris on the UFC's future:"We've been told to get ready, get your rest now even though we have shows every week because it's really going to get busy next year."
