CBS Reporter Claims White House Officials Screamed And Cursed At Her (AUDIO)

Sharryl Attkisson

A reporter for CBS claimed that White House and Department of Justice officials screamed and cursed at her due to a story she was pursuing about a controversial DOJ program.

Sharyl Attkisson, the investigative reporter for CBS, made the allegations on conservative host Laura Ingraham's radio show Tuesday. She had been looking into the so-called "Fast and Furious" operation that the Justice Department was running.

During the controversial operation "Fast and Furious" illegal guns were trafficked from the United States into Mexico so investigators could track how drug cartels and other criminals used the guns. As CBS' Bob Schieffer put it, described it, the operation became a "disaster" and the trafficked guns have been used to kill Mexican officials.

Attkisson told Ingraham that, when she broke a damning story about the operation, she got extremely aggressive pushback from the Obama administration. She said that a DOJ spokeswoman named Tracy Schmaler had yelled at her on Monday about the story, but that it was nothing compared to the way a White House spokesman named Eric Schultz had acted.

Attkisson said he had "literally screamed at me and cussed at me" about the story, and that the White House also told her that she was the only reporter not being "reasonable" about the issue.

Ingraham was, unsurprisingly, very interested in the allegations.

Attkisson made it clear last night when goaded by Bill O'Reilly about whether she had asked for an apology from Schultz. She deftly responded that he had nothing to apologize for, and that she found his reaction simply indicative of the extent of this scandal. She is a class act, people, and I hope she will be the recipient of a Pulitzer Prize when this has all played out. The truth hurts -

This seems odd. Why would a CBS reporter go on Laura Ingram? Why wouldn't she go to a CBS outlet?

But more interesting is why this would matter to her. I assume she's been around, she's a big girl. Why would she complain about the White House and DOJ yelling at her? I know some young journalists who'd think this was terrific! Put on your big girl panties......sigh

A bit strange considering that CBS was the only outlet of the former MSM to report on this story back in 12/10

jeez, she told Laura Ingraham? Why didn't you say so in the first place. That is as much as I need to know. Anyone with integrity would refuse to do that woman's show.

Oh boo hoo hoo, someone yelled at me! (sniff sob wail)

Maybe she needs to wear her Big Girl Pants next time she writes a story.

You know, that is true. If women and I am one, want to live and work in a man's world, they have to expect the same kind of treatment. Would a man ever complain about the same things? Not a chance.

"Would a man ever complain about the same things?" No, a man would have simply gone over to the WH and wore Schultz's little fanny out.

The FUNNY part is - I dare any of you to use the search function above to search the term "Fast and Furious" and the #1 retun on HP is a story about Kim Kardashian..the second being a story from 3 weeks ago.

Buried much? Nothing to see hear.

Why would you search HP? I usually use BING myself. I don't depend on any one site for my info. Another thing, why do republicans always do that? Change the subject when they have no other response I mean?

Two things:

1) I only used the example of using the search function on HP as it proves my point that there is little reported on the story herein AND that it's hard to find (aka buried).

2) I am not a Republican. I am a Libertarian..I am Conservative...and I am Agnostic. And I didn't change the subject - I broadened the converstion.

Think about it..

Ya gotta love the reactions on here...

1) the biggest thing is the title and the use of the word "claims"...if this would have happened under W, "claims" would be no where near this, just WH screamed/yelled/cussed at reporter...it would be a given
2) if she was attacking W or any other R prez, you would support her without knowing the story, instead you are attacking the reporter (still without knowing the full story)

Gee, an investigative reporter with no tape to back up her allegations?

Re: "She said that a DOJ spokeswoman named Tracy Schmaler had yelled at her...."

If Schmaler ran the world, would yelling at those who asked touchy questions be her way of resolving issues?

Of the many, many despicable things about the Obama Administration, the most despicable is their never-ceasing attack on the 2nd Amendment. And that is exactly what Fast and Furious was meant to be. Eric Holder should be impeached immediately.
