New Book Teaches Babies HTML

Forget "mama" and "dada"--your child's first words should be "Backslash A".

We've seen an increase of parenting humor books in the form of parody books that seem like they're for small children. McSweeny's "Baby Be of Use" collection, for example, urges young ones to stop lounging around in the crib (seriously, who needs more than 12 hours of sleep?) and help out with the finances. While they're up, they might as well fix you a champagne cocktail and pitch in with the housework. "Go The Fuck To Sleep", on the other hand, is a little more despairing of those childish ways.

The latest in this trend comes from Code Babies Media. Why teach ABCs when they can do some practical coding for your next web project instead? The new book, "HTML for Babies," gives infants their own angle brackets, broken links and closing tags to suck on.

Awww look, baby just got his first LinkedIn recommendation. Quick, take a screenshot!
