Lizzy Caplan Joins 'The New Girl': Plays Love Interest For Three Episodes

Matthew Perry will have to share Lizzie Caplan. For a little while.

The "Party Down" actress will be heading over to "The New Girl," playing Nick's (Jake Johnson) love interest.

For a three episode run, Caplan will play Julia a super-cool smarty with a master's in art history.

The courtship begins, appropriately, at an art gallery. Nick is intimidated by her and is worried that she won't accept him or his goof-ball friends. But, turns out, little miss perfect has a little bit of an anger problem.

Caplan will certainly feel at home in Zooey Deschanel's "adorkable" universe, but can it compete with her cult-favorite role?
