Jennifer Aniston On The Time She Threw A Chair At A Director

We can make at least one assumption about Jennifer Aniston's recent foray into directing: she was nice to the script supervisor.

Aniston recently took a rare trip behind the camera to create one of the shorts that comprises Lifetime's "Project Five," a TV movie about breast cancer. And, given what she tells Elle in their new issue about an incident she had on set of one of the films in which she acted, we'd expect off-screen assistants were treated pretty well on her project.

"I threw a chair at a director. It wasn't my proudest moment," she tells the magazine "He was treating a script supervisor horribly... When the director walked in, I threw a chair at him. I missed, of course. I was like, 'You can't speak to people like that.' I can't tolerate it."

She didn't give any indication as to who the director was, and given her long career, it's hard to make a guess. Though no one would be too upset if it was Andy Tennant, her director on "The Bounty Hunter."

Aniston has spoken recently about her love of working behind the camera. About "Project Five," she told Access Hollywood, "It was like a dream come true, honestly, and such an important piece that we all were invested in. It was like working with, not only our best friends, but they're also incredible producers, and all of us coming together. We just can't believe that we're actually here. It's amazing."

Brad Pitt calls Jennifer Aniston boring in an interview, and next thing you know Jennifer Aniston is relating a ridiculous and improbable story about how she once threw a chair at a director? She's even more pathetic than I thought. I really hope no one, other than the fawning media, believes this nonsense. Jennifer Aniston has been famous for nearly 2 decades, and for the better part of that time she has been so famous that she can't exhale without the gossip rags mistaking it for a "baby bump", but we are supposed to believe that this particularly violent moment is only being heard about now? What is not related in this version, is that in the Elle interview where she makes this lie up, she says it occured in a restaurant. So this chair throwing incident happened in public? Sure it did, rummy!

Having to make up a lie that you threw a chair at someone to make yourself seem interesting is just sad.

Apparently, hanging out with Jennifer Aniston is even more god-awful-Boring than having to read her own made-up stories about her.

And she's proud of this outburst because? This is so contrived with the entire "I missed of course" line. Chris Brown you are not Rachel.

People on film sets tend to be horrible, especially the director. They act as if the film they're making is something vitally important. Forget it if you're a lowly PA or, heaven forbid, an extra, they'll either treat you like something they stepped in or they'll ignore you so thoroughly, you will truly feel invisible. Generally, the nicest people on set are the biggest stars. Funny how that works.

I hope they got that on film. It would be the only example of her showing any genuine emotion. She is a terrible actress.

This is great. The media portrays her as "the girl next door" or "america's sweetheart", when in reality, she's not that sweet. I don't care what anyone says to you. Don't throw a chair at someone. That could cause serious damage.

She said she "missed of course," meaning she wasn't trying to hurt anyone, just make a point. Film sets can be very volatile, so it probably wasn't even that big of a deal...that's why we're only hearing it by her own admission.

Ohh, she missed. That makes the situation so much better. *rolls eyes* There's no justification. You don't throw chairs for any reason, period, unless you're not very bright.

maybe if she weren't so self centered - she wouldnt be eternally and pathetically single.

Well, that's one way to get some press. She was in a TV show once, right? I forget.

She can't "tolerate" people speaking rudely to a subordinate, but throwing chairs at people is OK?
Just stupid hype to get more PR for her directing of the Lifetime project.

I wonder what Brad thinks of all this.
I hope they get an interview with him.
