Toilet Paper Dresses: Canadian Designers Turn Paper Into Stunning Couture (PHOTOS)

The material may be bizarre, but don't hold that against these exquisite garments. Let's face it — the final destination of toilet paper has never been so glamorous.

Made out of white and pink bathroom tissue paper, over a dozen Canadian designers created some dazzling gowns and cocktail dresses for a breast cancer fundraiser runway show sponsored by toilet paper company Cashmere in Toronto last week.

There was even an outfit or two for men that hit the catwalk with tuxedo stripes.

While some designers purely stuck to toilet paper, others reinforced their designs for added stability by using suit fusing— a product that helps give suits shape and structure to reinforce their pieces.

"They were also allowed to add other materials like rhinestones, tulle and ribbon – just no feathers or fur to the garments," said a Cashmere spokesperson in an email to The Huffington Post.

Of course, this isn't the first time a dress has been developed from this material. In March, AOL covered the toilet paper wedding dress competition where designers created quite a collection.

Now if only they could recreate Kate Middleton's Sarah Burton lace wedding dress...
