Ami Gignac, Organic Farmer In Ohio, Trades Corporate Life For Agriculture (VIDEO)

A former San Francisco-based executive has bid adieu to corporate life in the big city -- in favor of a certified organic farm in rural Ohio.

But as Ami Gignac tells CNN, a working day at Breakneck Acres Farm in Ravenna isn't actually that much different than what she'd been used to in her previous job, at least in terms of its pacing. "I started out in the mining business, so I spent a lot of my time out in the field, working with difficult men at times," she says. "Beyond the stress of the corporate job, I think that there was a self-fulfillment that was missing. I was always executing someone else's vision, someone else's strategy."

As the interview attests, Gignac and her partner Tim Fox brought an innovative touch to their new farm, re-fitting an old school bus and converting it to a chicken coop, which she claims offers twice the space of a traditional coop at half the cost.

Although she was an active part of corporate America for 12 years. Gignac says she hasn't looked back. "When I was in San Francisco, I just kind of said to myself, 'Something's gotta change,'" she recalls. "It's the right lifestyle change...I'm happy and I'm content."
