Great. Now Barbie's telling little girls "tattoos are cool." Children rolemodels are going down all over the place. Sad.

How can a doll that many little girls before and now pull the head off of in order to quickly change her clothing without pulling of the clothing be in 2011 at age 52 a role model to living, breathing little girls? Simply I pose the obvious question before you set off a bonefire of folks jumping on the wagon and the horse is not even connected and going absolutely nowhere! Just a metaphor so don't get sore. Blessings.

Oh my!
A tattoo!
What ever are we going to do?
(snark off now, and this reads best in a southern belle accent)

They really are no big deal, and most eighties babies have them.
How many twenty somethings do you know that don't have them?
The only ones I know who don't are still scared of their parents, or else they would.

Darn! She's no angel, but then she is not even real, but a tramp stamp on a doll? That's deep! At least her stamp will not fade or sag as the myth of real ladies her age having tatts are supposed to do. Have them, and they are doing quite fine, thank you.

Barbie & I share same age. No relation, did not & don't intend to get plastic surgery to resemble. Barbie has been glorified, fashioned, colored blackened w/non-Black features hair that has rarely changed throughout years. Didn't she quit Ken? Had a car, house, boat, etc. (too poor growing up to get any luxuries). Now we come to whether having a tattoo is an issue of sustaining role model appeal? If a plastic, rubber doll after all these years,is a major source of positive role modelling, we in trouble presently & next generation 4 sure! Her numerous fashion trends, Christmas editions outfitted doll, even adults competing to get before little girls than who cares? Have we not gone beyond her being a ROLE MODEL? Sorry, screaming, apologies. We go from Barbie to any televison & movie star, singer, adult porn star under the age of 25 as role models. Lohan, Spears, Rihanna, Manaj, all you have to do is get in front of a camera to be considered a role model. How about looking towards trailblazers, righteous educators, Religious or political leaders, hard working accomplished or struggling believers in every girl deserving to obtain her dream. Those who don't have hands in a till, fingers in pockets as role models. Someone living & breathing or dead, making/made a difference instead! BTW Got 11 tatts & if not for Recession, would #12! Go ahead Barbie, I am w/ U in age/radical unimportant to character & change!!

Who cares? If you don't want a kid to have that one, don't purchase it. We have bigger fish to fry.
