Diane Keaton's Style: Now And Then (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: Diane Keaton's Classic Style

Ever since I first witnessed "Manhattan", Diane Keaton has been a fashion icon to me. Confident and completely composed, Keaton's lifestyle of understated chic is something that I try to emulate every day.

In the '70s, Keaton was romantically involved with Woody Allen and her "Annie Hall" style sparked a revolution of women who favored masculine silhouettes. Then there were the Warren Beatty years - always shielding herself from the paparazzi, but looking wildly stylish while doing so in playful get-ups which still referenced her menswear-inspired aesthetic.

Now, into the '00s, Keaton (who was just announced as the face of the Chico's Holiday campaign) remains loyal to her boyish behavior - effortlessly balancing casual with polish. A white shirt is just as versatile now as it was 30 years ago - but rather than pairing it with tweed trousers or vests, Keaton opts for jeans or evening skirts.

As proof we've gathered Keaton's best looks, from past and present:

And while we adore Keton's boy-meets-girl style, we're not so taken by her outrageous, 2004 Oscars look.
