Suze Orman: 'Ask Oprah's All-Stars' Expert Talks Money And Marriage (VIDEO)

If you think you might get serious with your partner, you'd better start talking about money--now.

That nugget of wisdom is among the many that Suze Orman, America’s foremost expert on money and relationships, recently shared with HuffPost Weddings. When the famously no-nonsense financial guru stopped by our studios recently, she didn't hold back when it came to doling out financial advice for couples planning to wed--or those who have already tied the knot. Her message was clear: couples need to talk about their finances, and their debt, as soon as a relationship moves past the first few dates. Says Orman:

“‘M’ doesn’t just stand for marriage, it stands for money, people!”

The “Women and Money” author first gained popularity when she brought her brand of fiery financial advice to the Oprah Winfrey show in January 1998. Now, Orman is returning to the Oprah stage with a new season of “Ask Oprah’s All Stars,” premiering Oct. 16 on OWN. Her talk show, “The Suze Orman Show,” airs Saturdays at 9 pm CNBC and has been running for 10 years.
