'This Means War' Trailer: Tom Hardy, Chris Pine Battle For Reese Witherspoon (VIDEO)

She's one of America's favorite sweethearts, an Oscar winner and doting mother. So you can't blame these guys for really, really wanting to win her heart.

Still they may be going a little bit overboard.

Tom Hardy and Chris Pine star in the upcoming action romance film, "This Means War," playing CIA agents who discover that they're both dating Reese Witherspoon. They decide, of course, to not tell Witherspoon that they don't know each other and settle the matter with warheads, tranquilizer darts, explosions and well-timed rain. May the best man win, until, well, Witherspoon discovers the secret battle.

Chelsea Handler co-stars in the film as Witherspoon's pal and terrible adviser, convincing her to date both of them in the first place. The film, directed by McG, hits theaters around "Valentine's Day." How romantic! But hey, it is more heart that Hardy generally shows in his films, having starred as psycho criminal Charles Bronson, a broken MMA fighter and, next year, even more psycho criminal, Bane.

OMG! I guess Reese Witherspoon has decided to follow the Jennifer Aniston career path complete with that scum Chelsea Handler. I can't even imagine renting this.

Let's hope Tom Hardy and Chris Pine can recover from this debacle.

Reese Witherspoon is a good actress. However, sometimes her film choices are questionable.

Of course, the ideal ending would be the two of them deciding — as in Mr and Mrs Smith — that the best solution is for the guys to take a house together by the ocean and tell Miz Witherspoon to take a hike... :-)

My thoughts exactly. Pine and Hardy make a much more compelling couple than either of them do paired with Ms. Witherspoon (and I like her!). I used to hate Hardy but as he was one of the only two good things about "Inception" (the other being the mighty JGL) I like him now. He and Pine are much cuter together.
