Whitney Houston Almost Kicked Off Delta Flight In Seat Belt Scuffle

Call it diva-like behavior, but Whitney Houston almost got the boot from a Delta flight on wednesday for refusing to buckle her seat belt.

TMZ reports that multiple sources claim the chanteuse had a fit when a flight attendant asked to buckle up. Another crewmember reportedly warned Houston that if she didn't fasten her seatbelt she would have to leave the flight.

Eventually she allowed a crew member to buckle it for her.

When reached for comment, a Delta spokesman declined to discuss the matter.

This certainly isn't the first time a celebrity had airline troubles. In June, singer Lily Allen took to Twitter to protest Ryanair's new boarding pass fees. In August, Slash from Guns N' Roses was on another Delta flight that had to make an emergency landing due to broken toilets. In September, Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong was kicked off a Southwest flight due to his sagging pants.

Flash update, Police have been called to the toilet area where Ms Houston has been hold up behind toilet door baricades, She has threaten to not leave the air port til her issues are "aried " publicly, Police have repeatedly attempted to storm the doors of the toilet open only to be met by Ms Houstons large gelatentonus tuchas which apears with out cover pointing at them, releasing a very foul odor of flatulatus, Some police have falled onto the floor pleading for help when the mist of the foul odor attaches to there bodies, It is rummored that Rush Limbaugh has been called in to act as a mediator to bring peace to this atack of natural gas

There is a serious reason for this. A loose passenger can easily become a projectile and injure several other passengers, so it's not just for Whitney's benefit. Jet airliners travel at hundreds of miles an hour. At impact a loose passenger can take-off like a bullet and go right through the bulkhead/cockpit up front and destroy the plane. Those planes are wrth at least $20,000,000.00

Sounds like Whitney feels she is so rich and famous, she does not have to buckle her own seat belt. If it really has to be done, fine, you can do it for me.

The reason this made news, I suspect, is that news was slow with respect to celebrities the day this story was filed and Whitney, a grown woman, DID act like a spoiled child (if the facts of this story are to be believed). I imagine that the flight attendant was inwardly furious at having to buckle in said "child" ... and that said "child" in actuality was indeed worried about getting kicked off the flight -- so making the flight attendant strap her in was her (Whitney's) way of ending the dust-up and getting in the last lick.

And yes, with respect to a previous commenter, her aunt did indeed repeatedly display similar behavior when she was a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice.

You people are getting upset because 1. she was CRANKY and refused to listen/cooperate (I doubt when ANY of you that are TIRED/CRANKY you want to be bothered) 2. she flew commercial (all celebrities want is to be treated normal--AND lots of celebrities fly commercial) 3. Whit tried the album comeback NOW lets give the acting another try (I'm interested)
Whitney has MANY of accomplishments in the music business! She is better than the freak shows we have nowadays (Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga, Jessie J, etc.)! LEAVE WHITNEY ALONE! You accepted Britney Spears back--why not Whit?

Why are we not surprised that a coked up Whitney would not "co-operate" on the plane.?? Why aren't we surprised that her daughter might use drugs as well? Such a shame... that such a talented woman would throw away her life in this way, but that's the nature of an addict, and now it will be passed down to her daughter to battle this demon as well. With parents like Bobby and Whitney.. no doubt she will use drugs. Too bad.
