It looks like Chile has a bad case of Bieber fever.

Throngs of screaming fans often greet Justin Bieber wherever he goes, but things got a little out of control in Chile on Friday -- just one day before he kicks off the Chilean leg of his "My World" tour.

Bieber was scheduled to arrive in Santiago October 14, but ended up staying an extra day in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His fans, however, didn't get the memo, and a large crowd of people gathered outside The W Santiago hoping to get a glimpse of the singer -- who wasn't there.

"CHILE is tomorrow but I think they are ready. wow," Bieber tweeted Friday, along with a video of the excited fans outside the hotel.

"Wait...I dont think they have enough rooms," he later joked on Twitter about the video.

According to TMZ, Chilean authorities, concerned about crowd control, asked the teen singer to arrive in Santiago via helicopter to avoid a mob situation.

Bieber is set to perform at the Estadio Nacional Saturday night.
