Disney Star Mitchel Musso Arrested For DUI

First Posted: 10/17/11 12:41 PM ET   Updated: 12/17/11 05:12 AM ET

Former "Hannah Montana" star Mitchel Musso was arrested for drunk driving in Burbank, Calif., yesterday reports TMZ.

Law enforcement officials told the website the 20-year-old actor, who currently stars on Disney's "Pair of Kings" and lends his voice to the cartoon series "Phineas and Ferb," was given a breathalyzer test and blew well above the .08 BAC limit.

According to police, the underage actor was pulled over at 3:43 a.m. after he failed to slow down for police officers who were directing traffic.

"An officer was directing traffic and Musso failed to slow down when coming to the intersection," Burbank Police Sgt. Sean Kelley told E! News. "He didn't obey instructions and was pulled over. A DUI investigation was held and he was given a field sobriety test."

When officers approached the actor's 2007 Mereces Benz they detected a "strong odor of alcohol," reports TMZ. After Musso failed the breathalyzer test he was booked on suspicion of DUI and bail was set at $5,000.

The Disney star spent a few hours drying out, but it seems he didn't suffer too much. According to E! News, Musso was ultimately freed without having to pay the bail because he didn't have any outstanding warrants, and police will not be releasing his mug shot.

A DUI is simply part of the natural evolution of Disney starts.

Hanna Montana star? LMAO. 90% of the unemployed actors in Hollywood have a better resume than that. He should learn to dance. DWTS is looking for a few Z list "stars".

This doesn't surprise me at all, they should make an post with all the Disney Stars and where they are now and you will notice how many of them ended up in drugs, alcohol, prostitution and so on.

this doesn't surprise me. Disney is just getting worse and worse. I even stopped watching it myself. I thought it was bad. it is turning into a bad influence. I used to really love disney. I don't know so much about that any more. the funny part was, I reallly liked watching him. go figure that he would do something stupid.

I agree. I happened to watch a couple minutes of Hanna Montana because a neighbor's daughter was watching it, and I could not believe the kind of stupid non sense parents are allowing their children to watch. I see these kids that are supposed to be young teenagers wearing all this make up, questionable clothes, and behaving like spoiled brats . . . .with superficiality as their best friends. . . . I miss the old cartoons, songs and games. . . .Disney is no longer a child oriented company. . . .

The Disney Channel is not really for kids anymore. I won't even allow my children to watch most of the crap on there. I think they need to get their focus back to childrens shows and let these young spoiled actors beat it.

Maybe they should have actual kids / teens for the channel .
These teens have out grown being on the disney channel .
Also their teenagers that probably never really had a childhood.

I'm sure he had to sign a morality clause before appearing in any Disney shows. I have a feeling we won't be seeing this kid on any new shows on Disney much longer.

It seems to me like half of the Disney stars are always in the news and not in a good way. Lovely role models, huh?
