You've probably already reluctantly swapped your bathing suit for wool sweaters, maybe even your flip flops for boots. But rather than pining after summer, it's time to make the most of what you can do in the cooler months!

Take the time to visit an orchard or a corn maze, prepare for Halloween and start carving some pumpkins, or even grab your bike or walking shoes and take in the colorful scenery, all without the sweatiness of summer months.

No need to coop up inside with your video games or computer, instead check out some of these fun, nature-based fall activities instead. Have an eco-friendly fall favorite? List it in the comments below.

Looking for something corny to do this fall? Why not take a wander through one of the country's 800 plus corn mazes. Having grown in popularity over the past 15 years, many farmers use the maze for extra income - earning up to $50,000 for three acres of corn, according to a report by The Huffington Post. Pack up the kids for a bit of family bonding time with Mother Nature.
