Carson Palmer Traded: Raiders Deal For Bengals Quarterback [UPDATED]

Carson Palmer Traded To Oakland

It looks that the self-imposed exile of longtime Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer is coming to an end. Shortly after the season-ending injury to starting quarterback Jason Campbell, the Oakland Raiders traded for the Palmer, who demanded to be traded way back in January.

Jay Glazer of Fox Sports first reported that the Raiders will give up a first-round pick in the 2012 draft as well a 2013 conditional first rounder.

After this trade, Oakland will not have any picks in the first, second, third, fourth or seventh rounds of the 2012 NFL Draft.

Palmer threatened to retire if he was not traded over the summer, but Bengals owner Mike Brown refused to relent to the demands of the two-time Pro Bowler.

The Bengals drafted quarterback Andy Dalton in the 2011 NFL Draft, and they seem to be happy with that pick. The former TCU quarterback has already recorded 1,311 passing yards and seven touchdowns, leading Cincinnati to a 3-2 record.

Adam Schefter Carson Palmer to the Raiders now official. Compensation expected to be a 1 in 2012 and a conditional 1 in 2013.
