John Stossel Heckled And Booed At Occupy Wall Street (VIDEO)

Fox Business anchor John Stossel took a trip down to Occupy Wall Street, and was met with a less-than-friendly crowd.

Stossel brought some footage of his journey to Tuesday's "O'Reilly Factor." In the video, one man excoriated Stossel to his face.

"You lie, Stossel!" he yelled. "You lie all the time! I've heard you on TV! I know that you lie!" Stossel also weathered chants of "shame on you!" One protester told him, "I'm here to stop Fox's corruption because you're all f--kin' corrupt."

O'Reilly and Stossel seemed mystified and dismissive of the whole thing. Stossel said he didn't know what the Occupy Wall Street protesters were protesting. O'Reilly said that the movement was doomed to fail.

"They're loons," he said.

Stossel joins his colleague Geraldo Rivera in attracting the ire of the Occupy Wall Street crowd.

O'Reilly spent a junior year abroad in England (and from his biography it appears to be after Johnson was out of office) and he reinvents his reason for not 'being one of those long-hair anti-war types" as he was "in England" . . . well first the anti-war movement did not take over just his junior year in college and well I was in the UK in 1969 and there were many people including Americans living abroad engaged in questioning what was going on in the world and what the US was doing in Vietnam . . . O'Reilly exists on the fictions he creates and perpetuates about himself and worse yet about the world.

Hahaha. What a joke. Stossel and O'Reilly are 'mystified'. What a hypocritical show of innocence they put on. They know exactly what OWS is about, and why. They also know that at best they slant the news, that is when they are not making it all up. Of course doing so is making them wealthy, so we, in the name of Capitalism should cut them some slack...right?

I have and I will always support capitalism. It is what has made the US so unique and successful in the world. But like anything else, it's success invited corruption. Humans are greedy. It's part of our nature.

The corruption is at a point that it must be dealt with but Washington and Wall Street are tied in together and if the protestors don't take some kind of action and get their protests down to Washington, it's going to denigrate into nothing more than a group of sitters camping out and awaiting something that isn't going to come.

Socialism does NOT work. Show me a country where it has worked for the people. I can't think of any. Sure it looks good on paper which is why the quasi intellectuals often support it-but it doesn't transcribe to the "real world".

Capitalism DOES work but those at the top need to be cleaned out so the benefits of a capitalistic society can once again be available to those willing to work hard and be independent.

Its nice to see such a balanced comment for once. They do have protests going on in DC as well, and are intending to get involved in the political process, starting with a convention next summer. Neither socialism or capitalism work in their purist forms. I'm sorry Ron Paul, but the free market does not regulate itself, and neither does the government. Checks and balances are needed for everyone, and that includes bankers. How many more Bernie Madoff's, et all, are we going to entrust our financial futures to?

“We are Wall Street. It’s our job to make money. Whether it’s a commodity, stock, bond, or some hypothetical piece of fake paper, it doesn’t matter. We would trade baseball cards if it were profitable. I didn’t hear America complaining when the market was roaring to 14,000 and everyone’s 401k doubled every 3 years. Just like gambling, its not a problem until you lose. I’ve never heard of anyone going to Gamblers Anonymous because they won too much in Vegas.
Well now the market crapped out, & even though it has come back somewhat, the government and the average Joes are still looking for a scapegoat. God knows there has to be one for everything. Well, here we are.
Go ahead and continue to take us down, but you’re only going to hurt yourselves. What’s going to happen when we can’t find jobs on the Street anymore? Guess what: We’re going to take yours. We get up at 5am & work till 10pm or later. We’re used to not getting up to pee when we have a position. We don’t take an hour or more for a lunch break. We don’t demand a union. We don’t retire at 50 with a pension. We eat what we kill, and when the only thing left to eat is on your dinner plates, we’ll eat that.
