Lala Anthony Talks Reality Behind Kim Kardashian's TV Wedding

Lala Spills Truth Behind Kim's Wedding

Kim Kardashian's best friend Lala Anthony is sick of the rumors surrounding her girlfriend's wedding to Kris Humphries and is finally setting the record straight about how real the TV wedding was.

"I have known them for a long time. Actually, I knew her when it was really starting to ramp up. But the thing about Kim is that she is the same person now that she was then," Lala said when she sat down with me to tape my HDNet talk show. "Kim's marriage is 100 percent real. The thing is, on the wedding special, all you saw was the preparation. Anytime people are preparing for a Kardashian wedding, it's going to be crazy, it's going to be stressful and that's what you saw. But by the time you got to the second half of the special, you felt the love that's there. And all of that is great, but it's about the genuine love and that they are happy with each other."

And although Lala says Kim does have a sense of how famous she now is, that doesn’t stop her from hopping in cabs and going grocery shopping like everyone else.

"She definitely has a sense of it, but it's not to the point where she doesn't do fun stuff; she still does fun girl stuff. Like the other day, she told me that she wants to teach me how to cook, that I need to learn how to cook for my husband and she wants to go to the grocery store. And I am thinking, 'us in a grocery store?' but that's how she is! And we will go to the grocery store!" says Lala. "Yeah, and there are people everywhere, but you just have fun with it."

Lala isn't doing too badly herself -- she has her own hit reality show and is performing in Nora Ephron's off-Broadway show "Love, Loss and What I Wore."

"Everyone has heard me talking about wanting to do theater, wanting to be an actress, and now I am showing people. You can talk about it all day, but it's about showing people -- like I am now with you, telling people to come out and see the play," Lala explains. "But it's really helping me now as I transition also into this acting career that I am really pushing for."

Keep pushing, girl! You are making your dreams a reality.
