Cayetana Fitz-James Stuart, the Duchess of Alba, made headlines earlier this month when she married Alfonso Diez, a commoner 25 years her junior. As we noted, the octogenarian bride donned a short, coral dress, trimmed with lace detail and a green ribbon around the waist for the big day.
Seems as if the Duchess, 85, remains keen on color for fall. When she stepped out for the 2011 Naciones Festival Awards in Seville yesterday, she rocked a bold monochrome ensemble consisting of a sheer turquoise number and similarly hued stockings, which she dressed down with understated flats.
Personally, we think the outfit is a little matchy-matchy. But perhaps when you bear 46 aristocratic titles, you're allowed to set your own sartorial standards.
What do you think of the look?
