Vera Wang Soap Opera Controversy: 'General Hospital' Star's Tweets

'General Hospital' Actress SLAMS Vera Wang On Twitter

Actress Nancy Lee Grahn, who plays Alexis Davis on the the daytime drama "General Hospital," has been making waves in the Twitterverse this week over an alleged controversy between her show's costume department and famed bridal designer Vera Wang.

According to Grahn's tweets, "General Hospital" costume designer Mary Ianelli visited Vera Wang's Melrose Place boutique to purchase some gowns for the TV show earlier this week but was shunned from the shop. Ianelli said in an email that the shop rejected her request to buy dresses, saying the GH audience was not their "targeted market."

Grahn took to Twitter to blast the designer on Tuesday, comparing Wang to Marie Antoinette and even telling her to "suck it."

A representative for Vera Wang told Styleite that no one from "General Hospital" has contacted the fashion house, and that they would "love the exposure" of being featured on a widely-viewed daytime show.

Grahn said that she'll respond to the controversy further in a blog post, but so far she's still tweeting her visceral reactions.
