Washington Federal Savings Bank Robbed
Police say that two men wearing George Bush masks robbed a West Seattle bank on Thursday.

Trick or treat!

Seattle police say that two men wearing caricature masks resembling former President George W. Bush robbed a bank late Thursday afternoon.

Authorities said the men threatened employees with a gun, robbed the bank, and then left in a black four-door vehicle, according to KING-5 News.

Christopher Boffoli, a contributor to the West Seattle Blog, offered this description of the scene:

The bank manager confirms the branch is closed for the rest of the day and as patrons have been showing up, they've been directed to use other branches. SPD detectives are on scene and are reviewing camera footage. They're also taking pictures in the alley north of the bank location.

Police described the suspects as two white males in their twenties. The FBI is investigating the possibility that this robbery could be connected to several other incidents in the area, including a Key Bank robbery on October 3 and a Wells Fargo robbery on September 12.

"George Bush" seems to be the go-to disguise for some bank robbers. Other similar incidents include an Austin, Tx. bank robbery from 2010 and even a Pennsylvania robbery which took place in 2004.
