As he finishes up his second film with one great director, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in talks to join up with another famed auteur.
Gordon-Levitt, who is in the midst of filming Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises," is in reportedly in talks to join Quentin Tarantino's "Django Unchained," the slave redemption film that stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Calvin Candie, an evil plantation owner who forces his male slaves to fight and female slaves to submit to sexual exploitation.
Jamie Foxx will play a freed slave who teams up with a bounty hunter -- to be played by Christoph Waltz -- to rescue his wife from the plantation.
It's unclear what role Gordon-Levitt would play, though Obsessed With Film suggests that he could play Scott Harmony, who obtains Foxx's wife from Candie.
Gordon-Levitt just starred in the widely acclaimed cancer dramedy, "50/50," and his NYC bike messenger film, "Premium Rush," is set to come out in August. He'll next film "Lincoln" with the biggest director of them all, Steven Spielberg.
