Muammar Gaddafi Dead: Did Newspapers Go Too Far? (GRAPHIC PHOTOS, POLL)

The news of Muammar Gaddafi's death was, naturally, the lead story in many newspapers around the world on Friday. But the gruesome nature of the Libyan leader's demise also presented one of those age-old questions for editors: how graphic should the front page be?

As can be seen in the slideshow below, many papers took different routes. Many showed pictures of cheering or celebrating Libyans, or large images of Gaddafi while he was alive and still had the country in his fist. But many others showed huge pictures of Gaddafi's bloodied and battered body. Quite a few went even further, showing photos of Gaddafi's dead corpse splayed out on a floor.
