Geraldo Rivera Shouted, Sworn At In Occupy Wall Street Protests (VIDEO)

It's becoming as inevitable as a sunset: Geraldo Rivera goes down to Occupy Wall Street and gets heckled and shouted down.

Rivera was met by a disgruntled group of protesters on Sunday night when he reported live from the movement in Zuccotti Park. He has reported from the protests twice before where his presence was met with similar hostility. The protesters chanted "Fox News lies" over him and even attacked him with powder during his previous two trips.

On Sunday night, a protester filmed footage of the latest run-in. Rivera was interviewing a young woman about her reasons for protesting. However, the conversation was barely audible as the crowd mocked Rivera and chanted "mic check" over and over. Some protesters made hand gestures and faces into the camera from behind Rivera's back while others continued to chant "I don't like Fox Five." The protesters were presumably referring to Fox News' local New York City station which is aired locally on channel 5. Rivera maintained his presence, even as protesters chanted "why is Geraldo still allowed in the park?"

The actual Fox News cameras also caught a protester dropping the f-bomb on live television as he was speaking to Rivera. Producers had no delay that enabled them to edit out the profanity before it reached viewers at home. Rivera looked visibly upset and told protesters "you guys swore to me, no cursing!"

Later, he referred to that protester's "obscenity" as "so lame" and warned viewers at home and the demonstrators around him that he hoped he would still be able to cover Occupy Wall Street after the protester cursed during his show on live television.

My only description of Geraldo Rivera is one that the moderators of this blog wouldn't like. Nonetheless, I would like to say that Occupy Wall Street is not there for Rivera's self-promotion, nor is Rivera there for Occupy Wall Street. He deserves to be shouted at and told to leave.

I am surprised at the hatred and vitriol that is going on here. It's pretty surprising, actually. I may be mistaken, but aren't we supposed to just get along? Isn't that what liberal and socialistic ethics would dictate? I don't get the anger with Fox News. And what is to be gained by it? Can't you just turn off Fox News? Ignore them - it's a waste of your energy. There are more important things to talk about and better ways to spend your time.

FOX needs to be held accountable for it's programming. I stopped watching FOX 2 years ago. I am not for censoring , but FOX is political machine for the greed of Capitilism. It is very one-sided and many stories based entirely on twisted ideals . This news-entertainment network has caused so much controversy it's alarming. Contravery is okay when lined with facts and truth. FOX is # 1 one to scream about patriotism and they have failed to recognize the Democartic proccess; constantly trying to promote groups to overthrow our system,unless it is working for filthy rich.

Hasn't look this silly since he did a live broadcast of the opening of Capone's safe.

He thinks that since he is Hispanic, supports unions, and freely criticizes Conservative causes, that the bozos at OWS would like him.

He doesn't seem to realize that - no matter who it is - he simply is not a likeable guy.

Technically, Mr. Rivera is 1/2 Russian Jew (raised jewish) and 1/2 Puerto Rican. And you are right, he is not a likeable guy. His four ex-wives (he is on wife number 5) could probably attest to that.
