Kathy Bates Wants Obama To Indict 'Rat Bastard' Wall Street Executives (VIDEO)

Kathy Bates often plays tough talking, no nonsense women on TV and film, and in a recent interview with Piers Morgan on CNN, she said that she'd like to see President Obama take some cues from her on-screen work.

"Something my father said to me, he always said, 'Stand up on your hind legs and fight,'" the Oscar winner told the host on Friday. "And that's what I want to say to my president, whom I'm so proud of… that I want him to stand up on his hind legs and fight these rat bastards."

When asked who, exactly, the "rat bastards" are, Bates was unequivocal with a response that would delight the crowd at Occupy Wall Street.

"Well, I think he's got to indict these guys from Wall Street. Somebody's got to pay for that mess. And I don't think it's the American public," she said.

"Well, and it's is like Steinbeck said in "Grapes of Wrath," who's the bank?" Bates continued. "When everybody was losing everything, who is behind all of this? Who's really running the country? Who's really pulling the strings? And I think we have all lost faith. And we don't know what to do. And there are no jobs. And we are looking at a lineup, in my opinion, of Republicans like."

Bates also spoke about her upbringing in a racially segregated Memphis, Tennessee, and her pride in seeing Obama elected. An eight time Emmy nominee and current star of "Harry's Law," Bates earned an Oscar nod for her work in the film, "Primary Colors," which was based on Bill Clinton's presidential campaign.

The actress is the latest in a long line of celebrities who have voiced their anger at Wall Street; Penn Badgley has made appearances at Occupy Wall Street, while Mark Ruffalo has been a near-constant presence down at Zuccotti Park.
