Mayo Clinic Parodies '867-5309/Jenny' Song To Promote Heart Health

The Mayo Clinic is taking a trip back to the '80s, with its own music video spin of the 1982 Billboard hit "867-5309/Jenny" (featuring actual Mayo Clinic staff and cardiologists). The mission? To emphasize the importance of monitoring your blood pressure, lipids and body mass index (BMI) numbers.

"This is a fun way to encourage people to reduce their risk of heart disease, the No. 1 killer in this country of men and women," Mayo Clinic cardiologist Dr. Sharonne Hayes said in a statement.

We agree. Seriously, take a look at some of the lyrics:

You need to know your numbers,

Don't let 'em get too high

Jenny please watch your numbers

Blood pressure, lipids and BMI

And just so you know what your numbers should be, the Mayo Clinic reports that a healthy blood pressure reading is less than 120/80 millimeters of mercury, a healthy lipid level should be below 200 milligrams of cholesterol per deciliter, and a healthy (normal weight) BMI should be between 18.5 and 24.9.
