Elle Fanning Wears A Giant Braid At The Hollywood Film Awards (PHOTOS, POLL)

Many tween stars (we're looking at you, Miley) are loathe to dress their age, strapping on tight dresses and high heels despite their mere 14 or 15 years.

Then there are stars like Elle Fanning, who say: I am 13 years old so I'm going to dress like a 13-year-old.

On Monday night Elle dressed her age... if she lived in a Swiss fairytale. The young actress attended the 15th Annual Hollywood Film Awards Gala wearing a blush-colored, doily-print dress with a long skirt and high neck.

She also wore her blonde hair wrapped around her head in a giant braid that reminded us suspiciously of challah bread (and made us hungry).

The dress and the braid combo pushed the look into the super-cutesy realm... but then again, who better to look super-cutesy than the super cute Miss Fanning?

Elle Fanning is elegantly dressed for a teen as well appropriately for the occasion! She is a young role model for her age. Mom you are doing an excellent job to not succumb with all the peer pressure to dress like a woman. Good job mom. Keep it up and show parents how "young" women should dress at that age. -sjk

......... she looks like a kid in an old womans dress. That dress is insipid and does not flatter, her hair is a mess. Given that she is "handled" and "dressed" to promote/sell, her look was a bust as far as I am concerned. She is not good looking either.

Cute kid, cute hair, hideous dress! The style, cut & esp. the color are yucky, esp. for a 13 yr. old. I guess I'm glad she's got her bits & pieces covered, but the dress is so horrid, so very wrong for her.
