Hackers CabinCr3w Release Data On Ex-Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin

Hackers have posted what they claim is the personal information of former Goldman Sachs executive Robert Rubin and his family.

On the file-sharing site Stickypaste.com, a hacker using the screenname CabinCr3w posted a wide range of details on Rubin, his wife, his son and his daughter-in-law, including their addresses, property values, court cases, political contributions and job titles. The disclosure was first reported by CNET.

Rubin was also Treasury Secretary under Clinton Administration and director and senior adviser of Citigroup, which received a federal bailout during the financial collapse.

In recent weeks, hackers have posted the personal information of Wall Street executives out of solidarity to the growing Occupy Wall Street movement, including JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon, Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein and Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan.

"Americans will not be held responsible for the mistakes and toxic assets of Bank of America," the hacker wrote in a blog post explaining their motives behind the attack on Moynihan's address, phone number, salary and court cases. "We will not put up with the government backdoor known as the Federal Reserve rubber stamping all sorts of moves by banks to avoid their own responsibility.

A hacker using the same screenname also the posted personal information of a New York police officer who is accused of pepper spraying female protesters during an Occupy Wall Street protest.

I'm all about hacking these S O Bs but why the kids? I mean if they are in the same business alright but if not it's pretty uncool. People aren't guilty by association. And quite frankly I don't give a dmn about his personal life. Maybe he's old fashioned and likes lolipops in his mouth and vasiline in his boots, not my business. Now any wrong doing lawfully I certainly want to know.

well done - the embarassment we can give to these people and their families can never be enough - the more we shine the spotlight on ALL their lives and everything they do - the better we all be. Wouldn't all of us really want to break, Dimon, Rubin, et al down and have them tell the truth of the Obama bailouts - the ones he approved with Bush and the bonanza he did afterward - the truth abiout their policies and how and whytheyhave not been prosecuted- the more we can do to break any of these people and families - aftter they profit from your misery - thebetter we all are

I think it is a good thing to know the persons' names, faces, addresses, telephone and cell phone numbers and email addresses. They certainly know ours. They should know they can't hide behind corporate anonymity anymore.

The 99% now can have their names, addresses and phone numbers. Take the protest to their front doors!

Revealing the personal information of former government servants is not a nice or helpful thing to do. Especially given the number of armed lunatics around. As to whether it is a crime or not, is a bit trickier.

I love these hackers. I really do. I love that they remain anonymous. I love that one of them could be my neighbor. One of them could be my student. One of them could be my mom. Okay, the mom part is totally ridiculous. She still uses dial up. I digress. I love that they will make these kinds of moves in solidarity with the people who are occupying Wall St. Some of you will think I'm being an idiot. But, this is the kind of stuff that the public deserves to see. We, the taxpayers, shelled out billions to help out these banks, and they have continued to not change their ways. And, yes, the executives of the banks are the banks.

The protestors are on the WRONG STREET.

They should be parked out in front of The Pratt House at 58 East 68th Street, along with 500,000 citizens, carrying signs reading "WE ARE TAKING OUR DEMOCRACY BACK".

It was Rubin, under Clinton, that piloted the rise of unregulated derivatives which eventually blew up the economy in 2008. It was Rubin, along with Greenspan, Summers and Clinton, that put Brooksley Borne out of business when she drafted regulations of those derivatives.

Rubin, as his reward for the derivative scam, was parked as Co-Chair of the Board of Directors at the Pratt house by David Rockefeller, Chairman Emeritus.

Good point My. Rubin pushed the deriviative law on a midnight run in 2000. Here, he made sure it was buried, in the details of a law that allowed derivatives to flourish. Rubin set up the epic fail of our economy and the world economy. The current Congress and the last were too afraid to ban derivatives, seeing it would be "better" to simply regulate it.
