Salma Hayek Talks With David Letterman About Her Earrings And Her Mature Four-Year Old Daughter

Salma Hayek On Earrings And Her Mature 4-Year Old Daughter

Salma Hayek stopped by The Late Show with David Letterman last night to talk about her new movie, husband and precocious four-year old daughter.

Letterman compared Hayek's earrings to newts before unsuccessfully explaining what a newt was. Then, Hayek jokingly gave Letterman her earrings as a gift for his wife.

Hayek told the story about how her daughter, despite visits with one of the best hair dressers, still compared her hair to a sheep. She also talked about giving up cigarettes. She said she picked up the habit while filming "Frida" 10 years ago but luckily breast fed for so long that it kept her away from smokes.

And Hayek vented about her unhealed twisted ankle.

"You have never been a Mexican short woman. I always say, had not been for high heels, I would still be in Coatzacoalcos with 10 kids and this big!," Hayek said.
