Drew Ryniewicz: Amazing 14-Year-Old Dominates X-Factor (VIDEO)

"I dont think many famous singers come out of Chino Valley," said fourteen-year-old Drew Ryniewicz, who comes from the small town in Arizona. She is currently one of the top eight contestants on The X-Factor, and despite being "too young" (according to one of the judges), she stunned Simon Cowell with her performance of "Must Have Been Love" at his house. her voice is simply unbelievable. simon knows talent when he sees it. this girl's got it in the bag. i've never gotten so many chills from a slow song. she's got the touch that leona has when she hits the high notes she finishes them with a soothing hum. however, she doesn't have the range that leona or melanie does from what we've observed thus far, but the softness of her voice is gonna win this competition.

Drew's style - slow a slow song down to half speed. Slide the note up 3 places on every third syllable. Enya meets Judy Collins.

She is extremely good, extremely!...........but she's grown up way too quick!

Simon has loved her from the beginning. If he ruled the world, the contest would be stopped right now and the winner declared, but America has not spoken yet. As in past reality shows sometimes the best contestants get booted.

And sometimes, it is in the best interest of the contestant to be booted. I doubt Jennifer Hudon would have the Academy Award she had if she were bound by the American Idol contract that she would have if she won.

Very few of the 'winners' actually go on to succeed. Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood are the only two that I can think of off the top of my head that have done well. None of the other finalists have preformed nearly as well as those two financially, although some of the runner's up have.

I can't believe I actually sat through that but it's a testimony to this girl's talent. I never liked this song and initially when she started singing I thought it was Celine Dion but now I know it's Roxette. Their version was so shrill and her voice is both original and subtle. She reminds me of something--maybe Sinead O'Connor. But so mature for a 14-year-old!

If she's "dominating" the show, I'm probably not missing much. I don't think she'd get past the top 10 on most years of AI. Not drinking the kool-aid on this one.
