Terrell Owens Workout: No NFL Scouts Show Up (VIDEO)

Terrell Owens Workout
Terrell Owens held a personal workout on Tuesday.

In early October, Terrell Owens announced that he would be ready to return to the NFL in a month or less. True to his word, he does appear to be ready.

But is he wanted? It sure doesn't seem like it.

On Tuesday, Owens' agent Drew Rosenhaus orchestrated together a personal workout for the 37-year-old wide receiver at a high school outside of Los Angeles. The NFL Network was there to cover it. ESPN's Rachel Nichols and Hall of Famer Jerry Rice were there as well. But Owens -- who put his impressive physique on display as he worked out shirtless -- didn't have nearly as much luck luring scouts as he did with media members, as there was not a single representative from an NFL team was in attendance.

"It's not a problem. I feel confident," he said when asked what he thinks about how no scouts showed up. "God has put me in a situation to be here today to show people that with hard work, you can come back from anything. Again, I don't need all 32 teams out there regardless if there were none here. I just need one."

Steve Wyche of NFL.com reported that the Tennessee Titans are the frontrunners for Owens at this point. But, according to Wyche, the only reason Owens held the workout was because Tennessee wouldn't commit to a private session.

Is it possible that the entire NFL has finally had it with Owens. Bill Reiter of Fox Sports seems to think so, writing that he "is officially a joke."

It's also possible that teams feel they haven more than enough film on the likely Hall of Fame and opted to steer clear of yet another media circus with Rosenhaus as the ringmaster and Owens as the loosed lion.

Or maybe, despite Rosenhaus' claims, Owens just isn't ready. Jerry Rice said he looked "winded" and "not in football shape."

Although Owens has proclaimed himself ready to play, will he be ready to call it quits on a Hall of Fame career if no one comes calling?

Here are several other memorable moments when T.O. has commanded the spotlight.

TO can say whatever he wants, at the end of the day no scouts showed up to his workout. That wouldn't have me feeling confident if I were him.

Terrell Owens has no one to blame but himself for why there's little to no interest in his services. He's about to be 38, he's coming off of knee surgery and he has a history of being a locker room cancer. Granted, he looks like he's in great shape and was the best WR on a sorry Bengals team last year, but when you take what I've said into account about the other crap that T.O. brings with him, I don't think any NFL team is going to take a chance on him.

The St. Louis Rams could surely use TO. What do they have to lose? At least they might have a chance to win ONE game before the end of season!

They win by losing. They'll get much compensation for the Andrew Luck pick.

Rams won't draft Luck.

I worry about Luck, there is so much hype about him I can't see how he can possibly match the expectations. I hope he does, if his game transitions well into the NFL then he could be an incredibly exciting player

TO is completely destructive to any team that's get him. Just look at his record with his previous teams. All those teams had locker room problems after getting TO on their team. No team needs that type of problems he brings to a team.

His body looks............incredible!!

Shame about his attitude.

Owens has similarities with Obama, he talked a better game than he ever played and when put into a team he always managed to rip it apart. Same results too, Owens wants to in the game but those who have been around him wish he would just go away. The only difference is Owens had some talent and if he kept his ego in check he might have been great. Obama might have some hidden talents and had he not been elected our country might still have great.
