From playing a frumpy princess to Oscar host to landing the most coveted cat role in all of Hollywood, Anne Hathaway has really grown up on the screen.

And now she's making the rite of passage from actress to producer.

The star will next be headlining and producing the Paramount thriller, "Puzzler," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Karl Gajdusek, who recently wrote the nail-biting Nicolas Cage-Nicole Kidman flick,"Trespass," will be penning the psychological thriller.

The actress will be joined by fellow producers Sarah Perlman, Stefan Sonnenfeld and Hathaway's long-time boyfriend, Adam Schulman.

While "Puzzler" marks her first role as producer, it doesn't look like Hathaway will be taking a break from acting anytime soon.

Next she'll be carrying a tune in the screen adaptation of "Les Miserables" alongside Hugh Jackman.

As cool as this news is, I am still waiting and hoping for Anne Hathaway to star in that rumored Judy Garland biopic.

It seems like everything she touches turns to gold. Hoping this new venture does as well as her past ones.

Certain flop. Wonder if she'll do a sophisticated accent.

I'd like to see Anne Hathaway play a terrorist. She's a good enough actress to be able to pull that off.

You know, I was just looking at the photo of Anne Hathaway that accompanies this article, and the more I look, the more her face seems to morph into The Joker from the Batman comics... scary.

Can anyone come up with any new ideas for screenplays in that town, Les Mis again? Didn't Liam Neeson and Claire Danes do that movie in the 90's?

This version is the first movie based on the London/Broadway musical.

And that makes it even less of a new idea.

I really like Anne Hathaway. She's a good actress, an incredibly sexy woman, and a gifted comedian (her SNL stint was terrific, and I loved "Get Smart"). Having said that, I have a feeling her Catwoman is going to rank with Halle Barry's sad attempt, just from the outfit and the clips I've seen. Of course, I'm not as big a fan of Nolan's version as most others, so, grain of salt time.

As far as producing a movie? Is that really a big move anymore? Seems like every star with their name above a title has their hand in a production company, which is why there are so many logos at the beginning of each movie you see these days.

WHY do they feel they need to make Les Miserables AGAIN!?!?!?

another attempt to milk something that works.

Notice how a sequel to "Independence Day" is planned?

Emma Watson is not scheduled to be in the movie adaptation of Les Mis. That was just a rumor that has since been (sadly) debunked.
