Michelle Williams: Marilyn Monroe Approves Of 'My Week With Marilyn,' Psychic Said

Michelle Williams Gets Marilyn Monroe's Approval From Heaven, Psychic Says

While her likeness to the classic siren of the silver screen has been debated by protective fans around the world, Michelle Williams can rest easy and ignore any criticism of the job she did portraying Marilyn Monroe. After all, she has approval from the most important critic there is: Monroe herself.

And yes, we do know that she died nearly 50 years ago.

"While we were filming, something came out in the 'National Enquirer' that a psychic had spoken to her and that she approved of what we were doing and she thought I was doing a really good job," recently told E! Online. "So maybe she likes it!"

Whether Monroe really did speak from the great beyond or not, credit Williams for giving her all to the role, in both her waking and dormant moments.

"I'd go to bed every night with a stack of books next to me," she told Vogue in a recent cover story. "And I'd fall asleep to movies of her. It was like when you were a kid and you'd put a book under your pillow hoping you'd get it by osmosis."

The hard work has paid off; the film is garnering positive reviews, including glowing notes about Williams' take on the tragic star.
