Nicole Richie Tells Girls Not To Dress Slutty On Halloween

Anyone who has watched "Mean Girls" knows that Halloween is officially "the one night a year when a girl can dress up like a total slut and no other girls can say anything about it."

Somehow Halloween has transformed from being about wearing scary costumes to figuring out how to make inanimate objects sexy (sexy Scrabble costume, I'm looking at you), and Nicole Richie has had enough of it.

The 30-year-old actress wrote on her Facebook page, "Girls, can we all pledge that we will not dress slutty for this Halloween? The jig is up."

Motherhood must be having an effect on Richie who has worn some pretty sexy costumes in years past. But as Us Weekly reports she has spent the last few years going for more wholesome costumes, like the White Rabbit from "Alice in Wonderland," Jessie the Cowgirl from "Toy Story" and Margot Tenanbaum from "The Royal Tenanbaums."

Richie may have a point for anyone who wants to actually stay warm this Halloween.

kudos for Nicole for being the rare celebutante that has grown and matured and embraced her maturity. She's come so far and I respect how well she has done for herself. SHe seems to be a good mom, she's definitely a savvy businesswoman and creative designer, not to mention she has turned into a really classy regular on the best-dressed list.

I have nothing but mad respect for someone who is a responsible parent. Some of these celebrities fail to realize once you have kids, the partying days and nights are a thing of the past. Nicole's kids are lucky to have her for their mom.
