You might not expect to see an adult film star getting dressed on TV (let alone in virginal white), but that's exactly what you'll see on TLC's brand new wedding show, "Brides of Beverly Hills."
In the premiere episode, airing Friday, porn actress Diamond Foxxx -- born Stephanie Woodcock -- shops for a wedding dress for her vow renewal ceremony to her husband of 12 years, Ben Foxxx (also a screen name). The actress says, "This is the dress that is going to give me back to my husband."
Diamond and Ben Foxxx married in 1999 after meeting in an Albertson's grocery store that Ben managed. After their wedding, the couple wanted to get into the real estate business but needed start-up capital to do so. That's when Ben suggested Diamond try her hand at adult film-making. According to a January 2011 Hustler magazine article, Foxxx was hesitant at first but the star soon found her calling. Ben now works in the adult film industry, too. TLC's "Brides of Beverly Hills" follows some of 90210's wealthiest women as they plan their weddings with the help of bridal stylist Renee Strauss. Strauss has dressed celebrity brides including Kelly Preston, Natalie Portman and Jessica Simpson.
On Diamond Foxxx's emotional reaction to finding the perfect "sexy but elegant" bridal gown, Strauss remarks: "I guess porn stars have their moments, too!"
"Brides of Beverly Hills" joins TLC's suite of bridal programming, including "Say Yes to the Dress" and "Cake Boss," and premieres Friday Oct. 28 at 10 pm EST.
