Ashley Biden Engaged: Joe Biden's Daughter Engaged To Howard Krein

Ashley Biden, vice president Joe Biden's daughter, recently became engaged to Philadelphia doctor Howard Krein.

News of the suspected engagement spread after the vice president referred to Krein as his future son-in-law during an event in Delaware on Friday. Jill Biden's office confirmed the news, with a statement declaring the family was "thrilled" about the upcoming nuptials, the Associated Press reports.

Biden, 30, and Krein dated for about a year before the physician popped the question in September.

Biden is a social worker, who graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a master's degree in 2010. She was named a "Person to Watch" by Delaware Today in 2008.

Krein is a doctor specializing in Otalaryngology and Facial and Reconstructive Surgery.

Congratulations to both families. We're looking forward to the wedding.

Try to remember where Joe came from, and his daughter is a social worker. They are not the enemy. Joe came up at at a time when there was an American dream to be had. Now it's just all so tragic.

They can be the 1 % who are willing to help the 99% ......isn't that what's it all about? Just think why she choose to be a social worker compared to what other choices she can easily have. Would you rather have the kid, maybe join a reality series and amass money then and never give back.....think!
