Blue And Yellow Line Delays: Metro Plans Mid-Day Track Work Next 3 Weeks

Metro Reduces Mid-Day Blue And Yellow Line Service For 3 Weeks

WASHINGTON -- Have a mid-day flight in or out of Reagan National Airport the next three weeks? You better plan some extra time if you're taking Metrorail.

Starting today, Metro is starting a three-week rehabilitation project that will force trains to share the same track between the National Airport and Braddock Road stations.

That will also mean that Blue and Yellow line trains will only operate every 18 minutes between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and that Yellow Line trains will only operate between the Huntington and Mount Vernon Square stations.

The weekday track work is scheduled to conclude Nov. 18 and won't be in effect Nov. 1.
