Charles Farris Allegedly Crashed Car Before Jumping Into Window Of Another Car While High

A Chicago man was arrested Friday after allegedly speeding his Dodge Durango through a red light into a stopped car and leaping headfirst into a passing-by car through the driver's side window -- all while high on marijuana and PCP.

Charles Farris, 21, was arrested briefly after he made his acrobatic dive into the car on the 4300 block of West Division in Chicago's Humboldt Park neighborhood Friday afternoon, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

The car Farris leapt into reportedly spun out, hit and fence and then, making an already bizarre situation stranger yet, Farris reportedly yelled "the pancakes are on the floor" while police chased after him, according to the Chicago Tribune.

While only Farris, of the 1300 block of North Lockwood, could answer for what exactly he was referring to with his "pancakes" comment, the Sun-Times shined some much-needed light on an unclear situation:

Police arrested him after he made his strange reference to pancakes, according to the report. Though "pancakes" can be used as street slang to refer to crack cocaine, cash or a woman's breasts, it wasn't clear from the report what Farris meant.

Farris, who was pepper-sprayed by police before he was arrested and later tested (positively) for both marijuana and PCP, has been charged with two counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated, resisting an officer, driving on a suspended license, reckless driving, leaving the scene of a crime and other charges. At the time of the Friday incident, he was free on bond from a previous charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated, the Tribune reports. He was ordered held on a $50,000 bail Sunday.

The driver whose vehicle Farris initially crashed into sustained a broken rib in the collision.
