Kris Jenner Says She Could Have Saved Nicole Brown Simpson In New Memoir

Kris Jenner Memoir

Before the Kardashians were known as a reality TV family, it was their late father Robert and his role on O.J. Simpson's defense team that first launched the Kardashian name into the spotlight.

The Kardashian family had been close friends with both Simpson and his late wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, whom he was infamously accused of murdering in 1994.

In her new memoir, "Kris Jenner...And All Things Kardashian," Jenner writes that she believes she could have saved Nicole had she met with her, as Nicole wanted, the morning of her friend's murder.

According to RadarOnline, Kris writes, "Nicole said, 'Can you get over here...? I need to talk to you. It's really important.'" Then a busy mom dealing with four children of her own and those of new husband, Bruce Jenner, Kris asked if they could put off meeting until the next day.

Kris writes in her memoir that Nicole was adamant they meet, asking if they could instead meet for lunch the next day. "I really have to talk to you about something really, really important," Nicole told her in what would be the last conversation the two would ever have.

The 55-year-old mom-turned-showbiz manager and reality TV producer, explains in the book that the next morning she woke to the news her friend had been murdered. "I instinctively knew that in some way O.J. had something to do with her death," she wrote.

Kris' memoir unveils the guilt she carries with her, believing that, had she met with Nicole when she asked, Kris could have saved her life. RadarOnline reports that a mutual friend told Kris that Nicole had been beaten up by O.J. and had been documenting the 17 years of abuse. "Nicole really wanted someone close to her to know what was going on, so that somebody -- namely me -- could be a witness," Kris wrote.

Kris and Robert Kardashian had divorced years earlier, but it was his defense of Simpson during the murder trial that caused a rift between the two. Simpson was famously found not guilty, yet in a civil suit he was found liable for the deaths of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman and ordered to pay $34 million in damages to their families.

Today, Simpson is serving a 33-year sentence for kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon and other felonies in a case related to him attempting to recover sports memorabilia.

Kris Jenner's memoir is due in stores November 1.

Another attempt to wedge some semblance of credibility to this shameless family of fame wh*res. This reminds me of Jesse Jackson's account of holding MLK in his arms as he died. I'm sure Kris could have saved JFK, too, right? Unbelievable this this is the latest attempt (in the form of a book) at this lame family to reap millions of dollars from millions of idiots out there who support them. Why do poor terrorists who have no food, education, or future want to kill us? This is what they see as "America". Stop supporting this garbage!

Real easy to talk about the dead when they can't answer the claims.

What a money hungry looser. No way this is the real truth.

Either way please don't buy her stupid book.

My goodness, but this woman has NO shame. How easy it is to thrust oneself into a decades-old scenario with absolutely NO proof that she was involved in any way .. Nicole cannot exactly rise from her grave to say "umm, no, that isn't true." Yes, and after Kris refused to help her dear friend after Nicole pleaded with her how important and urgent it was that they meet, Nicole then called me, and I went on over and she told me everything instead. And it was about the stresses involved in choosing the right nail polish color. Believe that?? Buy Kris Jenner's book .. make her day. They need the money.

I love - "I instinctively knew ........." lines right out of a bad detective novel.

and why exactly is this the first time anyone is hearing of this...why wasn't she called to testify, after all she was one of the last people to actually talk to her...I believe Nicole saying " I really need to talk to you about something important" the day before she died is relivant to have been heard...ME THINKS SHE IS LIEING TO SELL A BOOK...anyone agree!!

Or she is telling her deluded version of the truth, But the State of California doesn't pay witnesses. She was pretty quiet when the trial was going on - she said it wasn't her place!!!! but not with some kash to be made it suddenly is "her place" The Goldmans and Browns still have to suffer at the hands of these evil people

Who is this person REALLY and who cares???!!! She seems nothing but hot air and after seeing how her children turned out is not a great example of high esteem. These people seem no more than bottom feeders living in a fantasyworld that apparently many people buy into. What a waste!

I cannot wait for the day when the American pop "culture" relegates these people back to the insignificant, irrelevant nothings that the sane among us know them to be.

I met Ron Goldman's mother. I by happenstance was going to the same counselor she was, and trust me, you have no idea the levels of pain she suffered losing her son. That Kris was too busy to help a friend, that would have saved her or his life, could not put aside her fame mongering, even then? I am disgusted with this woman even more. When my friends say they need me, I am there, even if I arrive late, or have to change things, I am there for them. I too have kids, a busy family, help run a family business, but I make time for people I care about. Kris, I wish you could have seen the pain on this woman's face, trying to choke back tears, put on a brave face as she left to drive home. I pray Kris has to live with this every day, knowing she might have been able to help and save two innocent people. Greed is never worth it Kris.
