Andrew Madoff: I'll Never Speak To My Father Again [WATCH]

Madoff's Son: I'll Never Speak To My Father Again

Andrew Madoff, son of infamous Ponzi Schemer Bernie Madoff, says he'll never forgive his father.

Speaking to 60 Minutes on Sunday, Andrew Madoff, who's stated that he never suspected his father of running a Ponzi scheme until he confessed it to the family, now says that not only will he never forgive his father, he never wants to talk to him again either.

In the aftermath of the scandal, Andrew Madoff's brother, Mark, took his own life in December of last year in downtown Manhattan.

"What he did to me, my brother and my family is unforgivable," Andrew told 60 Minutes reporter Morley Safer. "What he did to thousands of other people -- destroyed their lives -- I'll never understand and I'll never forgive him for it. And I'll never speak to him again."

The special, which also includes an interview with Ruth Madoff, wife of Bernie and mother of Andrew, coincides with the release of Truth and Consequences by Laurie Sandell, a book featuring interviews with Madoff's family.

Andrew has said the book afforded him the chance to give his side of the story and "to speak to the thousands of victims I don't know."

The level of Andrew's disdain for his father wasn't the only revelation of the 60 Minutes special. Last week the network teased the segment by releasing news that Ruth said she and her husband together tried -- and failed -- to kill themselve on a Christmas Eve after Bernie's Ponzi scheme had come to light.

"I don't know whose idea it was, but we decided to kill ourselves because it was so horrendous what was happening," Ruth Madoff said. "We had terrible phone calls. Hate mail, just beyond anything and I said 'I just can't go on anymore.'"

Another member of the Madoff family has come forward in recent weeks to express her hatred of the man who she says is responsible for her husband's death. Mark Madoff's widow, Stephanie Madoff Mack, has written a tell-all about the Madoff affair, The End Of Normal: My Life As A Madoff, including details of her husband's suicide, which occurred while she was in Disney World with one of two of their children. The other, their infant son, was just steps away from where Mark hanged himself.

"I hate Bernie Madoff," Mack recently told ABC. "If I saw Bernie Madoff right now, I would tell him that I hold him fully responsible for killing my husband, and I'd spit in his face."
