Olivia Wilde, Steve Buscemi In 'Burt Wonderstone'? Stars In Talks For Magician Film

Olivia Wilde's Magic New Romance

Now this would be quite the magic trick.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Olivia Wilde and Steve Buscemi are in talks to join the cast of the upcoming comedy, "Burt Wonderstone." The film stars Steve Carrell and Jim Carrey as two opposing magicians in the throes of an existential war for the future of the Vegas staple.

Wilde, THR reports, would play Carrell's love interest, which is quite a coup for the former "Office" star. She appeared in this weekend's box office disappointment, "In Time," in a supporting role as Justin Timberlake's mom (yes), as well as in supporting roles in "Butter," and "The Change-Up." She was the female lead in "Cowboys and Aliens."

The young star has a busy year coming up, starring in films such as "Kin," "Welcome to People," "The Words" and "The Longest Week." She just left her role on the TV show "House MD" to make room in her schedule for films. As for roles she won't be taking, Wilde tweeted recently that she would not be playing Lara Croft in any "Tomb Raider" reboot.

As for Buscemi, the "Boardwalk Empire" star will feature in "On the Road," and voice characters in "Hotel Transylvania" and "Monsters University."
