West Hollywood Halloween 2011: Were You There? Add Your Pics! (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: Costumed Revelers Take Over West Hollywood

Thousands of drag queens, wicked witches and uncanny pop culture references descended upon West Hollywood to celebrate Halloween with a huge block party on Monday evening.

Just like last year, topical costumes at the Halloween Carnaval won points with us for creativity and daring. "Osama Bin Laden" and "Muammar Gaddafi" walked around covered in bullet wounds, while the "Kardashian sisters" teetered around in platform heels pushing copies of their book Kardashian Konfidential. Two men donned huge morgue sets and came to the carnaval as Lindsay Lohan-chasing paparazzi, and even Occupy Wall Street made an appearance on the grassy median (they were pretending to Occupy Sesame Street). We spied a couple dressed as servicemen to celebrate the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," as well as more than a few ballerinas who had jumped at the chance to dress as Natalie Portman from "Black Swan."

500,000 were expected in West Hollywood for the event, which has been celebrated in the city since 1987. In a press release, West Hollywood Mayor John J. Duran said, "What started out as a bunch of gay men in drag stumbling in heels on Santa Monica Boulevard in Boystown has become the largest Halloween Carnaval in the world!"

Did anyone capture any photos of the "Duke and Duchess of Cambridge" on their wedding day, or an homage to Amy Winehouse? Upload these pictures, and any more you have, from last night's party in the slideshow below.
