Ryujiro Ueda Goal: Japan Defender Scores Header From 63 Yards Out (VIDEO)

While most of the Internet is focusing on things that lasted longer than the Kris Humphries-Kim Kardashian marriage, we may have found something that had an even shorter shelf life: the record for longest soccer goal scored with one's head.

In late September, Odd Grenland's Jone Samuelsen scored a remarkable goal that The Guardian said was "believed to be the longest-range headed goal ever" in a Norwegian league match against Tromso IL.

Just more than a month later on Oct. 31, Japanese defender Ryujiro Ueda of Fagiano Okayama broke that record with an incredible header of his own. After the opposing goalkeeper launched the ball beyond midfield, Ueda ran up and headed it right back toward the net from 63 yards out. The goalie was out of position as the ball took one big bounce over his head and trickled into the goal.

According to the Daily Mail, J-League officials are trying to get the goal verified as a world record. It would seem that this new record would likely become yet another #thingslongerthankimsmarriage.
