Awesomest Anonymous Source In History Fingers Rahm Emanuel For Herman Cain Sexual Harassment Story

Rahm Emanuel

First Posted: 11/03/11 01:27 PM ET Updated: 11/03/11 01:56 PM ET

Hey, y'all, I know that we've just about covered all the bases in terms of who has launched this terrible smear campaign against Herman Cain in which facts that have been affirmed by the Cain campaign itself diabolically ended up on the internet. If I run down the list of suspects I have Politico, "unnamed sources," the White House, Rick Perry, Mitt Romney, and "is sexual harassment even a real thing?" But has anyone thought that Rahm Emanuel might be behind it? I thought he was behind everything!

Oh, here you go, per the Washington Times:

According to a source who is friends with the Cain campaign, not only is the Rick Perry campaign involved but also the Mayor of Chicago and former Obama White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel is likely involved with the sexual harassment accuser attacks. A friend of the Cain campaign believes a National Restaurant Association (NRA) employee out of the Chicago office leaked the story to the Perry campaign via information and influence from Mayor Rahm Emanuel's office.

I mean, did anyone consider that maybe this "Get Herman" campaign is actually the product of an awesome team-up between the Rick Perry campaign and Rahm Emanuel? The conspiracy goes all the way to the side.

Also, "a source who is friends with the Cain campaign?" Love this, Washington Times. All I feel is love for you. I just adore the way this source is just friends, generically, with the entire Cain campaign.

But as Politico's Alex Burns reports, Rahm's camp is contesting this seemingly airtight claim:

"Not only is the suggestion baseless and completely false, it is totally absurd," said Chris Mather, Emanuel's communications director, in a statement shared with POLITICO.

I don't know, this random anonymous person who is BFF with the entire campaign must be somewhat credible. How else would have this story have ended up being "hyped heavily by the Drudge Report," I ask you?

This story really begs the question; Why would any Democrat NOT want Cain to be the Republican nominee?

Ahhh......the Drudge Report is heavily hyping it.

Hmmm....well, Jason, I think I'll take a wonderful descriptive term from Jon Stewart and say of course it would be heavily hyped by that motherfudger:>)

Tea....best to you and yours:>)

With the Cain folks emailing Politico and other outlets The Journalistic Code of Ethics, maybe they should include sending a copy to the Times.

I guess in Herman's Head it's only a breach of ethics if it's NOT a breach of ethics, and self-serving sourcing is ok if it helps your cause.

WHEN WILL THE MADNESS END?!?!?

No need to "take the word of" anyone. All we need to do is look at Cain's own actions. He paid hush money to at least two women and now, has arrogantly lied and then refused to discuss it.

He has also been accused to illegal use of campaign funds from two separate sources and has arrogantly refused to refuse to discuss that as well.

He has one set of standards for himself and another for others. After saying racism doesn't exist any longer, he whines that he is the victim of racism.

Luckily, most Americans won't fall for this fraud or the other members of the clown car.

The most important question is, how many more failed politicians will Faux hire?

Joke of a candidate is a more apt description, just make sure you figure out who the joke is on.

Looked at everyone who could have leaked Herman's little secret?

My own personal conspiracy theory involves the Koch brothers (who else). They are the original sponsors of Mr. Cain but probably never in their fevered billionaires imagination ever imagined the Republican base making him a front runner.

So now what do they do? Sabotage him so that their secret original candidate gets the nom.

Truman: THE BUCK STOPS HERE!

Herman Cain: Harassment? That's Rahm's fault! Wait, no, it was Perry! Actually, it was the women who accused me. It was the liberals in the media. My political opponents in the Republican party. It was the Occupy Wall Street protestors. May be it was the President of Ubeki-beki-beki-stan-stan. I don't know. It was EVERYBODY BUT ME who was responsible for my harassment of those women.

Why would Rahm Emanuel, a former member of the Barack Obama Whitehouse, and a close friend of the President, leak this story? The President would love to run against Herman Cain. It would not even be close. Nominating Herman Cain would assure a Democratic Victory in November 2012.
This is the most ridiculous conspiracy theory I have ever seen.

If Rahm were going to leak this -- he would definitely wait until Cain was Obama's opponent. It doesn't no Democrat any good to have it out now.

Exactly, the timing of the leak spells GOP! f n f!!

A Cain nomination does not benefit Obama in any way whatsoever. There's no motive for Emanuel to leak the story. The TEA Party, of course, has no use for facts or logic.

And how one earth can you connect any of the Tea Parties that are interested in fiscial responsibility in government to a long past unproven accusation of missbehaviour of possible candiate? Rhamm can be used as a surrigate for partisians the do not want a conservative prominate in the GOP that could split that black block vote Democrats has so long taken for granted.

If the alleged source of the leak is correct, onw shouldn't be surprised as it came from a Chicago politician. A thugish style of politics replacated by the Kelsey Grammer character in the TV production of "The Boss." One of the most disgusting hearings were of Supreme Court candiate, Judge Clarence Thomas. The things people will do to protect their dogma, gain more political power or block an appointment in the process at times promtes behaviour and comments that are unacceptable. To judge an incident based on what she said or what he said or that an orginization decided it was cheaper to pay off than defend at trial is not enough to condem either her or him unless or until there are corrobating witnesses or physical proof.

So, no corroborating witnesses, no physical proof = no sexual harassment. Does this go for all "he said/she said" crime like child abuse and rape, say? Just wondering.

There was a time and for some all that was necessary was to be accused. The McCarthy hearings come to mind when people were ordered to appear, then asked;
"Are you now or have you ever been a member of the communist party." The appearance, the questioning and the answers do denial were enough to blacklist many people.
I think you already know to convict a person based solely on an accusation is not ethical, moral, or legal even in the case of child abuse or rape. False accusations have destroyed the reputation of many and convicted not a few innocents to capital punishment with only the flimsiest evidence.

Deny and deflect is always the rightwing way. Always. Not a single one of them ever mans up and admits wrongdoing until they're totally trapped with no other way out.

Of course and Democrat, W. J. Clinton said: "Listen to me very carefully, I never had sex with that woman Miss Lawensky!" My thoughts were this is business of Mrs. Clinton not national politics, but partisian politics know no ethics and that is not limited to party affilations.

Perhaps, you might at least try give a shot to, fair and equal judgment of the laps of acceptable moral and ethical behaviour we humans suffer from.

I'm googling it, but I can't find where WJC was sued and settled due to unwanted sexual advances.

Gingrich was running from his mistress's bed to denounce immorality. Vitter put his pants back on to do the same. Several sent their boyfriends home to head to the floor to make their speeches. the only thing missing, that cain has euphemistically, is a smoking gun.

Clinton never forced himself on anyone, at least not as far as anyone knows. And sexual harassment is a kind of forcing. So you don't get to compare the two.

If the rightwingers weren't always acting so goddamned hoity-toity Puritanical like they were above such sins, they'd probably get a pass on stuff like this when they're caught. But they impeached Clinton for lying about his private sex life, so now THEY have to meet at least the same standard or they're toast. They did it to themselves, and no they do not deserve any better than they give.
