Michael Moore Clashes With CBS4 Reporter Evrod Cassimy After Occupy Denver Speech (VIDEO)

WATCH: Michael Moore And CBS Reporter Clash At Occupy Denver

Michael Moore visited Occupy Denver yesterday, and while much of his time at Civic Center Park was spent in the crowd of about 1,000 people signing autographs and encouraging protesters, CBS4 reporter Evrod Cassimy managed to question Moore on the fly.

Cassimy asked Moore about his own personal wealth and how he has used this to benefit the movement. After dodging the question a bit, Moore responds to Cassimy quoting rumors he's worth $50 million:

Cassimy: It's rumored you're worth $50 million -- aren't you part of the 'one percent?'
Moore: I do very well, and..
Cassimy: How are you helping these people?

Moore: I want taxes raised on people who do well, including myself.

Cassimy: How are you helping people with your $50 million?
Moore: (Laughing) I don't have $50 million dollars.
Cassimy: That's what it's rumored you're worth.
Moore: Well really, is that what you do--sell rumors?
Cassimy: We're asking you the truth.
Moore: You're just punk media, is all you are. You lie. You lie to people. Stop lying. Just don't lie, ok?

Mediaite notes this isn't the first time the filmmaker has been pressed on the subject of his wealth. A conservative blogger in Portland recently experienced pushback (quite literally) when he asked Moore if his personal wealth elevated him to the status of the "One Percent."
