On your mark! Get ready! Fasten your seat belts! Matt Lauer is hitting the road.

"Where In The World Is Matt Lauer" is making a comeback, and on Friday, Lauer gave "Today" viewers their first clue regarding his upcoming trip to a secret location. After producers ran what can only be described as an epic video montage, Lauer made the announcement for the week long adventure that will being on Monday.

The clue even rhymed, which just made things more fun.

"It conjures up thoughts of a child's worst fright, but there are no people to scare in this skier's delight," Lauer read.

Sounds like Lauer could be headed to mountains somewhere!

Lauer was also the topic of David Letterman's top ten list Thursday night. The broadcaster visited the set to announce his top ten travel tips. View and watch below.

Matt is going to whereever Will Ferrell is producing Hansel & Gretel: The Witchhunters which is due to release in March, 2012...not only can NBC hype their new Grimm series, but they probably get a kicker for promoting Ferrell's film. Most likely in a popular skiing area in Germany. Not certain where they are filming Ferrell's movie...

I'm going to say that Matt Lauer is in Germany - near Frankfurt in Hessen or Hanau - The Grimm brothers old stomping grounds. It may be lame given all that's going on...but it's also important that people experience a little levity once in a while...and yes I do support the 99%.

What a indulgent and inappropriate thing to do when the economy is in crisis and people are hurting -- Today Show producers -- grab a major clue from Occupy Wall Street -- a movement that is reflecting he pain, frustration and hurt in our country.

Wouldn't it be something if we discovered Matt stayed home and was revealed working in a New York soup kitchen or playing Bingo with a bunch of Senior Citizens!

What a bubble the media increasingly lives in. Get real Today Show. Matt and the "Where in the World?" has jumped the shark!!!

Good grief. Lighten up. People still enjoy seeing the locations Matt will be going to that they will never be able to see in their lifetimes. What does the recession have to do with any of that anyway?

The recession is going to be here for 5 more years at least, does that mean the world stops turning? Of course not.

It helps to give the children a Geographic lesson and since right wing has cut spending on schools and teachers the children are going to need all the help they can get.

Sounds like some place like Romania that has horror stories of Vampires and such. And then really has the Alps and good skiing.

The show has a very old audience if they think Lauer's world wide Whack-A-Mole act is good TV.
